The Wedding
She got the glow of happiness wrapped around her,
walks down the aisle as you hear people whisper,
“her beauty compliments her smile, i’m looking at her bright future.”
Her parents drowning with tears,
As she stood right next to him nervous without encountering fear,
Everyone feels their love around,
Flash back to where i messed up my chances surrounds,
Put my feet in the ground for there my heart could be found,
Broken, tired, alone, beaten down as it appears,
Meanwhile their eyes both filled with tears of joy while smiling from ear to ear,
I came uninvitend but my intentions were clear,
Since the start all i want is for her to be happy,
Set her free, as long as she’s content with path she chose wisley,
This guy should feel very lucky,
Because seeing her in that bright white gown, all i could think of is…
that could’ve been me.
